International Education in Thailand
The Rajaprajanugroh 24 School in Chiang Kham, Thailand was thrilled with the English Camp facilitated by former D5000 member Elsie Choy. They received 20 new laptop computers and camera equipment. Metro donated 2 laptops and participated with other Rotary Clubs from Hawaii, Taiwan and Thailand.
The school has 938 students, mostly for children that do not have parents which is why it is a dormitory, full service school. It is considered a “welfare” government school and has 197 students with learning disabilities. This volunteer project lead by WE Rotary member Steve Yoshida gave students and Rotarians a wonderful opportunity to exchange language and cultural knowledge which will help with a sustainable learning program.
